Our Partnerships
Bog Standard

At quebicle we believe that children should have access to clean, good quality and well maintained toilet facilities. That’s why we are a main sponsor of the bog standard campaign, aiming to provide better toilet facilities for pupils.
The Bog Standard campaign was launched in 2004 with three main aims:
- To increase awareness of the health benefits of better school toilet facilities for pupils
- To encourage schools to improve the condition of pupils’ toilets and allow pupils to use them when they need to
- To support the creation of legislation which supports these aims
As one of the main sponsors of the Bog Standard Campaign, we are working with them to raise awareness and promote new ways to help achieve their objectives.
As part of the Building Schools for the Future programme, the largest ever school buildings investment scheme, we support The Bog Standard Campaign’s view that local authorities should allocate appropriate funding to this often overlooked but very important area.
In support of our partnership Quebicle provide School washrooms that are:
- Bright, attractive and colourful - an environment which is comfortable and actively encourages their use
- Well designed, reaching the highest standards for practical use and accessibility, health and safety, hygiene and long term durability
- Of the highest quality encouraging and facilitating good hygiene and wellbeing practices, helping to reduce illness and absenteeism amongst pupils
With all aspects of the school environment contributing to the shaping of pupils attitudes and beliefs, providing pupils with great school washrooms reinforces the school’s care for their welfare, comfort and wellbeing and promotes respect and pride for their surroundings

Schools Council Foundation
With the shared belief that pupils should be empowered to bring about change within their own school environment we’ve teamed up with the Schools Council Foundation to actively encourage schools to get their pupils involved in the conceptual design of their own school toilets.
Fostering this approach to washroom design communicates the schools commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of their pupils which encourages respect. By working with school and pupils to create toilet facilities that are directly tailored to the needs of the pupils using them schools can benefit enormously. Pupils develop a sense of pride and ownership over their facilities which encourages them to look after and respect them.
Additionally good school toilet facilities result in lower levels of pupil absenteeism and ill health as well as improved concentration and behaviour. Most importantly however, it shows that the ideas and opinions of the pupils really do matter and demonstrates to pupils that can make a positive change within their school environment.
