A recent study has shown that many children avoid using unpleasant school toilets. Almost 70% of children surveyed said that they avoided using the toilet during the school day, with the main reasons given being;
- Toilets were dirty, smelly or dark
- Lack of privacy (broken locks)
- Broken or missing toilet seats
- Blocked sinks and toilets
- No paper towels/ broken hand driers
